Wherever you've come from — whatever language you dream in — there is a seat with your name on it. Join a warm, multicultural fellowship gathering right here in Swindon.
Welcome to Bethel House of Prayer. Thank you for taking the time to find out more about us. If this is your first visit — in person or online — here is what we want you to know first: we are a family of believers, born again and Spirit filled, gathered to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Holy Bible.
Our calling is simple and unwavering: to hold prayer meetings and worship services, to preach the Gospel, to teach the Scriptures faithfully, and to carry out evangelistic work — not only here in the UK, but in various parts of the world.
Whoever you are and wherever you have come from, there is a seat for you here. Heaven is our destination; holiness is our pathway.
Swindon is home to people from every corner of the world — and so are we. African, Caribbean, Eastern European, South Asian, British and more — our fellowship reflects the beautiful diversity of this town, united by one Lord, one faith, one baptism.
You don't need to look a certain way, sound a certain way, or already know the songs. Come as you are, sit with us, and let's worship together as one household of God.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28Our belief is rooted in Scripture and centred on the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Every person falls short of the glory of God, and stands in need of His grace and mercy.
Romans 3:23While we were still sinners, Christ died for us — the clearest proof of God's love toward mankind.
Romans 5:8There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, except the name of Jesus.
Acts 4:12The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9No one comes to the Father except through Jesus — He alone is the way, the truth and the life.
John 14:6Come as you are. Every gathering is an open door.
No pressure, no surprises — just a genuine welcome.
Jeans, saris, suits, work uniforms — wear whatever feels like you. Nobody here is dressed to impress.
Slip in at 10:00 or a little after — you'll be greeted with a smile, not a stare.
Children are welcome in the service, and Sunday School runs for the first 30 minutes.
Fellowship continues after the service — grab a cup of tea and get to know your new church family.
"We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His wonderful works." — Psalm 78:4
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." — 1 Timothy 4:12
"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." — Proverbs 31:25
